7/21/08 Troyan completes staff for 2008-09 season Lehigh head women's basketball coach Sue Troyan has announced two updates to her staff for the upcoming season. Lauren Hall-Gregory has been promoted to assistant head coach, while Gretchen Gregg is the program's new graduate assistant. Hall-Gregory has been on staff since 2006, serving as the program's graduate assistant, while Gregg arrives at Lehigh following a successful career at Cornell University which she capped off with the 2008 Ivy League Championship and berth in the NCAA Tournament. 7/16/08 John Hughes joins Lehigh staff as assistant coach Lehigh head coach Pat Santoro has announced the addition of John Hughes to the Mountain Hawks' coaching staff for the 2008-09 season. Hughes, a three-time All-American and former NCAA Champion at Penn State , comes to Lehigh after spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater. He will work alongside Santoro and former Lehigh All-American Brad Dillon, who joined the staff last month. MORE [+]

7/15/08 Szalachowski earns spot on NABC Honor Roll Rising senior Matt Szalachowski recently earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honor Roll, which recognizes collegiate basketball student-athletes who excel in academics. Szalachowski earned a 3.48 grade point average during the 2008 spring semester and carries a 3.62 overall GPA as an accounting major. This past season Szalachowski appeared in all 29 games for the Mountain Hawks, starting 28 of them. He averaged 4.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while shooting 70 percent from the free throw line. MORE [+]
