Patriot League Announces Women's Tennis Academic Honor Roll
Nineteen student-athletes were named to the 2008 Patriot League Women's Tennis Academic Honor Roll, Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich announced on Monday. The group included Army junior Jessica Shurtz, who claimed the Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor in the spring. Three of the honorees posted a 4.0 GPA, with Lafayette freshman Kristie Cavanagh and junior Sarah Sykes and Lehigh sophomore Julie Arthofer all hitting the mark.

Patriot League Announces Men's Tennis Academic Honor Roll
Thirty student-athletes, including the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Army's Eddie Kang, were named to the 2008 Patriot League Men's Tennis Academic Honor Roll, Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich announced on Monday. Four student-athletes posted a GPA of 4.0 or better, as Army junior Rick Houghton, Lafayette sophomore Matt McGranaghan and Navy freshman Nick Birger and junior Jason Hill were all at the mark.

Army's Kang Wins Prestigious ITA Leadership Award
Eddie Kang was named the Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship and Leadership Award winner for the NCAA Northeast Region, it was announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Kang will represent the region on the national ballot, which will be voted on within the next two weeks.

Army's Kang Named Patriot League Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Army senior Eddie Kang was voted the Patriot League Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced on Monday by Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. Kang is the third-overall Army men's tennis student-athlete in Patriot League history to win the prestigious award, and the second in the past three years. The scholar-athlete of the year award is voted on by the Patriot League men's tennis sports information directors.
