Stefanie Golan to Succeed Gene Ventriglia as Women's Soccer Head Coach
Army Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson didn't have to stray far to identify the replacement for longtime women's soccer head coach Gene Ventriglia, who will retire at the end of the 2008 campaign. Two weeks after Ventriglia announced his impending retirement, Anderson named current Army associate head coach Stefanie Golan as Ventriglia's replacement.

Patriot League Announces Women's Soccer Academic Honor Roll
American's Krystn Hodge was named the 2007 Patriot League Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and is one of 89 student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Thursday. Seven student-athletes achieved at least a 4.00 GPA for the fall academic term, Army's Elizabeth Betterbed, Sarah Goss and Caroline Miller, Colgate's Johanna Johnson, Lehigh's Andrea Yetter, and Navy's Lizzie Barnes and Kari Weniger.

Patriot League Soccer Student-Athletes Earn NSCAA Recognition
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its 2007 award winners across several categories this past month, with Patriot League student-athletes earning several All-Region and All-America nods. The Patriot League placed 17 men's and women's soccer student-athletes on the All-Region teams, and also had five student-athletes named to the Scholar All-Region teams.
